Spring Full Moon Weekend 3 Days Cycling and Camping Trip

Join Lichen Bike Tours for an adventure the first weekend after Memorial Day.

On Friday we cycle 20 miles from Hudson, NY across the river to a sweet little private campground with lots of amenities in the sunset shadow of the Great Northern Catskills. We’ll have 2 nights there, which sets us up for a whole day of riding without heavy bags on Saturday. There will be lots of half-day and whole-day routes to choose from, including MTB trails. Sunday AM our hosts will lead us on a 90min walk and forest interpretation around their agroforestry grounds before we depart on the 20 miles back to the Amtrak station in Hudson.

Helmets required! This trip is for all fitness levels and all body types and totally worth traveling for. Nighttime luminance brought to us by the last full moon of Spring.

Connect with old and new friends while all-day on Saturday you ride some great rural roads that are as flat/hilly as you feel like riding. For riders with big plans in 2026, this trip is an opportunity to do an early-season test run of any new gear and do a shakedown before your longer trips. If you’re new to camping or new to using your bike frame to carry camping equipment, this is an easy trial to see if you like it. The community of experienced riders will be so encouraging, and your guide will ensure that nobody is left alone with a flat tire or carrying too heavy a load.
