Bikepacking Adventure in Southern New Hampshire

September 19, 2025 - September 21, 2025
$35

Come join us for an extended weekend of bikepacking and mixed-terrain riding in Southern New Hampshire!

We’ll kick off early on Friday, September 19th at 9:00 AM, departing from Brookline, NH. From there, we’ll ride 35–40 miles northwest toward Greenfield State Park, exploring dirt and gravel roads, doubletrack trails, and paths less traveled. We’ve reserved a group campsite with a lean-to that will serve as our basecamp for the weekend.

On Saturday, we’ll head out for a 40–45-mile mixed-terrain ride in the surrounding area. The first ~30 miles feature substantial climbing (around 100 ft/mile) before easing out along a rail-trail grade. Afterward, enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake, a hearty dinner, and campfire relaxation back at Greenfield State Park.

On Sunday, we’ll pack up and continue our adventure with another 35–40 miles back to Brookline, NH.

Overall, riders should expect hilly terrain averaging 70–80 ft of elevation gain per mile, with some segments steeper than others. As with all bikepacking adventures, also anticipate both pleasant surprises and challenges: varied road surfaces (mud, chunky gravel, sandy stretches), and the possibility of some hike-a-bike sections. Riders should be prepared for a fully loaded ride carrying all personal gear, food, and camping supplies.

Best suited for: experienced bikepackers or strong riders comfortable with back-to-back days of mixed-terrain riding.

Bike setup: Really skilled riders should be fine with anything wider than 45 mm, but we recommend tires at least 50 mm or wider for comfort and control on rougher surfaces.

If you’re up for both the challenges and rewards of bikepacking, come join us for this Southern NH adventure!

Cost: Campground fees will be equally shared (estimated $35 Per Person for the weekend).

Difficulty Rating:  5 – Vigorous
Difficulty Rating Definition: Suitable for those with recent similar experience and/or demonstrated proficiency, such as being active in sports or often (regular) engagement in vigorous physical activity. Ability to perform at the expected level for back-to-back days for multiday trips. Expect to be active up to 5-6 hours per day, with brief breaks.
