The Endless Mountains Grand Depart is a multi-surface masterpiece comprised of rural dirt and gravel roads, rail-trails, paved roads through small historic downtowns, and various ascents over scenic rolling hills.
This route, known as the Endless Mountains 430 (EM430), begins and ends in Towanda, Pennsylvania, along the beautiful Susquehanna River’s North Branch.
  • The 250 route is the first half of the Endless Mountains 430 in Bradford and Sullivan counties.
  • We’re adding a third route option, a 115-mile route that is suggested as a 2-day touring option. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51023949
    • Due to permitting restrictions on the back half of the route, participants aren’t allowed to race this distance, and are advised to camp or find lodging in the first 84 miles of the route, ensuring that it would be a 2-day tour.
The Loop officially launched in July 2022 following a two-year collaborative design process between multiple regional organizations and avid cyclists. The EM430 is intended to be an epic multi-day adventure route across the four counties of Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming in the Endless Mountains in northeast Pennsylvania.
Now, the Endless Mountains Grand Depart will transform that multi-day adventure into a challenging and picturesque endurance race.

The Endless Mountains 430 was created and designed by the Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau, Bradford County Tourism Promotion Agency, Northern Tier Regional Planning & Development Commission, and a group of avid cyclists from the region.

The Endless Mountains Grand Depart will be the second official race along the EM430, which is being managed by these organizations and trail developer David Landis of Village to Village Press, LLC.

Disclaimer: This is a self-supported race event in which riders participate and ride at their own risk.
