Swift Campout Overnighter on Summer Solstice

This event is hosted by BIkepacking Roots Community Steward Tyler Burton.
Join Lichen Bike Tours for a fun weekend overnight adventure on the longest day of the year.
If you are only going to do one camping and cycling trip in 2026, let it be this one. It’s fun, the hills are at an absolute minimum, and it’s camping on flat ground with a pavillion, picnic tables, and grills. This trip is for all fitness levels and all body types and is excellent for first-timers. Helmets required!
This trip is 2 days and 1 night with 30 miles of riding and around 1000ft of climbing. It’s a celebration of bringing people together to ride bikes and camp outdoors. You don’t need 14,000ft peaks, you don’t have to be a racer, you don’t have to ride 3000 miles, you don’t need to spend money on the newest equipment. It’s about likin’ bikin’ and doing the damn thing, preferably with other enthusiastic people.
Swift Campout is an international cycling and camping event on the summer solstice every year, organized by bicycle bags maker Swift Industries. “On June 21st, pack up your camp gear to spend the longest day on your bike.” We price this at the minimum to cover insurance costs and make a donation to the community park we’re staying in. Lichen Bike Tours isn’t making any money on this.
This is a sunshine-preferred ride because we do not want to drag new riders through cold June rains on their first trip. Our rain date will be one day earlier, from Friday the 19th at 6pm – Saturday the 20th at 2pm.
This event is part of Bikepacking Root’s Community Event Calendar, where we share bikepacking events across the US and Canada. Bikepacking Roots is not involved in the hosting of this event unless otherwise noted. Please reach out to the organizer for more information.
