Join RAR Fingerlakes for a weekend bike tour / campout!
*this event is reserved for women, trans, femme, and non-binary folks!*
When: Saturday, Oct 12, 10am to Sunday, October 13, late afternoon
Where: Meet at Bike Walk Tompkins at 10am. The group will be biking about 20 miles with 2,000 ft elevation through Brooktondate to camp on top of Mount Pleasant. On Sunday we will bike an additional 20 miles and stop for a treat, and then back to Bike Walk Tompkins by the afternoon.
Amenities / Camping: The campsite (Hoffman Challenge Course) has a bathroom, firepit, and yurt. Anyone wishing to sleep in the yurt is welcome! Please plan to bring a sleeping bag and sleeping pad. There will also be lots of room for folks to pitch a tent for camping as well.
Food: On Saturday the group will be stopping by Brookton’s Market for lunch (bring $$$). Organizers are planning to have a group dinner at the campsite (please list any allergies / dietary restrictions in the form below). Folks should plan to bring snacks for the ride and breakfast for the morning.
Stop by Bike Walk Tompkins (803 Cascadilla St) the Thursday before the campout (10/10) from 6-8pm to get your bike tuned up, ask questions about gear, or to pack your gear!
All levels of riders welcome, but participants should feel confident on a bike as the route will be about 20 miles with lots of hills.
