March Bike Campout with the Wild Wolf Cycling Collective in California
March 30 - March 31
$10The next campout is March 30/31 🏕 🌸 🚲
🌼RSVP’s are required
😊 This month’s route is one for the climbers ⛰️
Day one is 33.6 mi with +3754 ft elevation gain and is 43% unpaved
Day two is 47.7 mi +3080 ft elevation gain, -7080 ft elevation loss, and 21% unpaved (with a good portion of the “paved” route being rugged/old/broken)
Wild Wolf Collective gives this route the🐐 MTN Goat rating because of the daily elevation gains. There are multiple sustained climbs with some hike-a-bike sections. The terrain, both days get the 🦎Lizard (dirt & gravel rating). The unpaved surfaces range from hard-packed to loose gravel/sand, with some rutted and steep up/down sections, but nothing too technical. A gravel, ATB, rigid MTB, or touring bike with dirt tires 40mm or larger is ideal.
🥵This is not a route for first time bikepackers and is one of Wild Wolfe’s more physically demanding routes. All riders should be comfortable with the climbing and mileage.
🌻All riders are responsible for themselves and their decisions. A GPS route, camp/route info, itinerary, and suggested packing list will be sent out to riders within a few days after they rsvp. This is a self-supported bike camping trip, there is no sag or outside support on this ride. Riders need to carry all their own gear and camp supplies (food/water/shelter/tools).
