It’s Fall y’all, and the Bago Bikes crew is looking to enjoy it with an adventure straight from bikepacking.com: The Sand County Caress.
Beginning in Nekoosa, the group will ride ~106mi over 3 days (2 nights) primarily through the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge.
More info can be found here: https://bikepacking.com/routes/sand-county-caress/
For the trip, you’ll need:
– Your bike
– Tires wide enough to ride confidently in sand (there’s a fair amount of it throughout the route, so think 2.3″ or wider)
– Shelter/sleeping gear
– Food (although there’ll be places to eat along the way, be prepared to sustain yourself, and bringing a stove is recommended)
– A large water filter will be provided for the whole group, but having one for yourself can make things easier
– A change of clothes for late September weather
– $5 admission
– A positive attitude
