In preparation for our upcoming trip through Patagonia to the southern tip of South America in 2026, we recently completed a October 5-day shakedown bikepacking trip on the soon-to-be-released “Culbute to Grand Chute” (C2GC) route.
There are no services on the C2GC, so we needed to carry adequate food and fuel, warm and waterproof clothing and shelter, bedding, navigation, safety, and repair gear to be completely self-sufficient.
In this session, we’ll go over our bike builds and unpack our bike bags as we share our thoughts on gear that works for us when the weather turns cold and wet.
