Beginner Friendly Bikepacking Trip with RAR.Ashville in North Carolina – Registration Closed
May 25 - May 26
FreeSave the Date for RAR Asheville’s first Bikepacking trip! Beginner Friendly, FTWN-B overnight bike trip. May 25-26!
This trip will be for anyone interested who self identifies as Femme, Trans, a Woman, and/or non-binary.
The trail is a 34-mile rails-to-trail that runs from Abingdon to Whitetop, VA. and, with several access points along the route, (at least) two distance options will be available. The trail is primarily crushed gravel and dirt with minimal road riding and a gentle grade. The trail also features several (really cool!) bridges. It is mostly shaded and with sections of open fields that allow for some pretty amazing views!
Leading up to the trip, RAR.Asheville will be hosting Intro to Bikepacking workshops to make sure everyone is ready to go, as well as a mandatory test-ride for those attending the trip.
Keep an eye out for workshop dates and registration coming soon!!!
📍 This trip will take place on the ancestral lands of the ᏣᎳᎫᏪᏘᏱ Tsalaguwetiyi (Cherokee, East), S’atsoyaha (Yuchi), and Moneton
