We’re pleased to introduce you to Building Momentum
Building Momentum is a woman and non-binary specific bikepacking workshop. It is a transformative, four-week series designed to empower women and non-binary individuals to explore bikepacking confidently.
Taking place in Nelson, BC, between May 27 – June 22, 2025, this workshop offers a supportive, inclusive space for participants to build essential skills, forge connections, and grow their confidence in the outdoors.
Four workshops will take place on the following dates :May 27, June 3, 10, 17. The event will end in an overnighter of the Frog Peak Loop.
Linking rail grades, scenic gravel roads, and stunning sub-alpine lakes, the Frog Peak Loop is the perfect beginner-friendly bikepacking overnighter to enjoy the West Kootenays.
This logistically straightforward 107-kilometer route is a local rider favorite, packed with delicious café stops, swimming holes, and a touch of pavement to connect it all.

Terrain: Mixed Pavement and Gravel
Difficulty Level: Easy – Great for newcomers to bicycle touring who are comfortable on the road and ready to expand their skills. Terrain will be mostly paved with some hard-packed gravel/dirt rail trail routes.
