🌴 🚲 San Onofre State Beach Campout // Sept 27 & 28 🌴 🚲
🗺️ This route was created as a multimodal loop from LA, utilizing the MetroLink OC Line and bike paths. The route is designed for first-time bikepackers with low mileage and friendly terrain.
🐢 We give this trip our Turtle rating as it is less than 25 miles each day, mostly on graded bikeways and flat coastal roads.
🐩 The terrain both days gets the Poodle rating because the route is 100% on smooth paved roads.
🚲Previous bikepacking experience is NOT needed; first-time bikepackers are encouraged! A road bike or gravel bike is ideal for this route.
🙂This is a guided trip with ride leads and sweeps, but there is no sag or outside vehicle support on this ride. All campers are responsible for themselves and their decisions. Riders are responsible for ensuring their bikes are tuned-up and ready to ride.
🌼To create a more accessible registration process, we introduced a lottery system this year to give more folks a chance to register and help ensure that spots are distributed more equitably. In line with our mission, we will be prioritizing 50% of our campout lottery spots for BIPOC, transgender, and gender expansive riders. Furthermore, first-time bikepackers will receive additional weight in the lottery selection for this trip.

💸We are asking for a sliding scale donation of $15- $30 for this trip.
