What is the Stoked Spoke Adventure Series?
Hosted by Swift Industries, for nine seasons the Stoked Spoke Adventure Series has gathered our communities for a route-recap and storytelling extravaganza with two missions: to inspire & empower, and to get together! Each evening has presentations featuring a built route, valuable considerations for the trip, packing lists, and general itineraries. We think of the evening as the TEDX for adventure cyclists.
What will Stoked Spoke look like at the Rocky Mountain Bikepacking Summit?
We’re putting out a call for anyone to submit a bike adventure trip recap – be it a story about your first overnighter close to home or a grand adventure that took years of planning.
Four to six presenters will be selected, and they’ll share their self-supported bikepacking route complete with a poster, maps, and planning tips.
The trip reports will be 5-10 minutes long. Once all of the presentations are finished, each presenter will host an information “table” where they will answer individual questions and have a poster representing the trip they present on.
Chosen presenters are committing to:
- Submitting a poster that includes photos and route
- Providing a RideWithGPS, or other digital route link
- Presenting for 5-10 minutes at the Rocky Mountain Bikepacking Summit on the evening of Saturday September 13th
- Setting up a little info “table” for their route complete with maps and route info.
To apply, submit 5 photos from your trip, a short summary description, and a route built in RideWithGPS. If your route is selected you will receive an email outlining guidelines for your poster and some tips on how to prepare for your presentation.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Bikepacking Roots crew, and we will select pitches that create an evening that highlights all sorts of terrain, diverse levels of challenge, and mesmerizing landscapes. Our aim is to aggregate as many adventures as possible that explore the Rocky Mountain region, but don’t hold back if you have a kick-ass route from another part of the world.
Stoked Spoke presenters will receive a Hold Fast Half Frame Bag (size of your choice) and an Ollie Seat Pack!

What to expect as a presenter
Each presenter is asked to:
- Compile a poster to compliment your presentation, complete with maps and kick-ass photos. Let us know if you need help with this.
- Stick to your time limit!
- Be prepared to host an info table to answer logistical questions, gear concerns, navigation inquiries and more.
Presentation Tips: You don’t need to be a polished public speaker to tell us about your rad adventure.
- Practice with a friend.
- Use compelling and funny images.
- Focus on your adventure, lessons learned, highlights! We don’t need a play-by-play of travel logistics, terrain, and mileage.
- Have fun.
Feel free to email [email protected] if you have further questions. Only one route per submission please. Feel free to submit multiple routes!
