This time\, we’re crossing the U.P. boarder and riding our friend Dave Schlabowske’s route Wild Watersmeet. If you are a member of The Nxrth (definitely recommended!) you can see the full route info here: https://tinyurl.com/yc8sxuheThe gpx file for the route is available here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50870223\n\n\nAs of now\, the plan is to ride for 3 nights/4 days. Signup will be posted here closer to the event.\n\nFor the trip\, you’ll need:– Your bike– Tires fit to help you ride confidently in widely-varied terrain (think 2.3″ or wider)– Shelter/sleeping gear– Food (although there will be places to eat along the way\, be prepared to sustain yourself\, and bringing a stove is recommended)– A large water filter will be provided for the whole group\, but having one for yourself can make things easier– A change of cloths for mid-October weather in the U.P. We’ll start our journey at the Visitor Center in Cumberland\, Maryland\, at the end of the C&O Canal towpath and head east to explore more of Maryland scenic roads and forestry. Whether you’re a seasoned bikepacker or new to the sport\, this event is suitable for all skill levels.
