This is one of OOFD’s biggest rides ever. Organizers rented much of Camp Sullivan in Oak Forest\, IL including campsites and cabins.\n​\nThis is a family friendly party. It includes a catered dinner\, live music at the campsite\, and so much more! \nOrganizers will have a variety of start points around the city with very short to longer mileage options. SUMMARY:Bikepacking into the Perseids Meteor Shower with Kurstin Graham in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada

This is a supported bikepacking trip with so many options. Starting Friday evening\, I will be riding from 12 Mile Playa Access to Meteor Cove (about 7 miles\, 4′ elevation).\n\nAt Meteor Cove\, we can set up camp and prepare for the night’s starry show. Saturday morning I will leave camp at 9 am and meet anyone at 12 Mile Playa Access at 10 to ride in. Some people choose to drive in\, a perfectly good option. Saturday is a day and night of events hosted by Friends of Black Rock High Rock. On Sunday morning\, I will lead a sunrise ride across the playa to the terminus of the Quinn River. After that\, we pack up and return to 12 Mile. Back in Gerlach\, I plan on having lunch at Bruno’s Country Club.
