SUMMARY:Summer Solstice Campout with Adams Avenue Bicycles in San Diego\, California
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”teammateRow”][vc_column width=”1/4″ el_class=”teammateImage”][vc_single_image image=”70876″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”” image_hovers=”false”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″ el_class=”teammateDescription”][vc_row_inner el_class=”TeammateContent”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=””]The Summer Solstice campout is part of Adams Avenue Bicycles’ quarterly campout series\, which coincides with the seasons\, particularly the solstices and equinoxes. Each campout will be in a different location and somewhere along or close to the Stagecoach 400 route. \nThis year\, the group is once again staying in Mount Laguna at the Wooded Hill Group Camp. Organizers have the group site reserved for Sunday thru Tuesday \nCampground amenities include:\nBathrooms\nPotable Water\nFor coin showers\, you will have to go a couple of miles down Sunrise HWY to Burnt Rancheria Campground \nThe Mount Laguna Store is just a few miles from the campground with firewood and snacks (closes at 5 pm)\, and please do not park your bikes on the porch (the owner hates that). \nGetting to camp and ride options….. \nDriving:\nThis is a great option if you just want to hang out for camping\, join in on the day rides\, or simply relax in the beauty of the mountains. Check in for Wooded Hill is 2 pm\, and that’s when we are getting there. Since we have the group camp this year\, parking is not a problem. We are planning to then ride out to the meadow to try and meet one of or both groups riding in. On Friday\, we’ll start at the Sacramento Amtrak station at 11am. (Groups can travel to Sac together on Amtrak from SF or East Bay from the Emeryville Station.) All aboard! 🚂 From there\, we’ll mosey through the parking lot and make our way through Old Sacramento\, where we’ll enter the American River Parkway. 🏞️ It’s a straight shot to camp: the American River Parkway ends at Beals Point Recreation Area and then our home for the weekend at Beals Point Campground. 🏕️ The Sunday route is the same exact way\, in reverse. \nRWGPS: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50663248 \nConditions: Paved/Road\, mostly pedestrian trail ~ American River Parkway. Light\, hard-packed gravel around Beals Point Recreation Area & Granite Bay. \nRecommended tires: Whatever you’re comfortable with.
