Camping in High Rock Canyon. \nDay 2: \n15 miles\, 1000′ in elevation gain. \nCamping at Steven’s Camp – meet up with Friends of Nevada Wilderness \nDay 3: \n35 miles 2300′ in elevation gain. \nThere will be great things to see along the way! \nThe organizer\, Kurstin Graham\, recommends a mountain bike with wide tires. There will be multiple water crossings\, your feet will get wet! June temperatures are mild\, but the high desert can offer any weather at any time. \nPlease reach out to Kurstin with questions or concerns. \n  \nHere’s a bit about The Friends of Black Rock / High Rock: Founded in 1999\, we provide education and resources for people using the land within the Black Rock High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trail National Conservation Area. Our membership includes environmental scientists\, kite-boarding enthusiasts\, campers\, star-gazers\, conservationists\, historians\, and visitors from all over the world. We work closely with the Burning Man Project\, the non-profit organization that hosts 70\,000 visitors to the Black Rock Desert at its annual event\, promoting land stewardship through Leave No Trace principles.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
