No vehicle support. \nLodging: Tent (camping gear not provided). We will stay at Cliffside Campground (Racine County) located 7320 Michna Rd\, Racine\, WI 53402 (map). \nPace: 12-15mph \nTrail/Route: Paved road with minimal gravel incorporated and possible snow. \nAge: Adult Ride (21+) \nTrip Description\nThe group will leave with a crew from Chicago on Friday morning\, bike 80 miles to Racine and camp at Cliffside Campground. That is standard to how Out Our Front Door has usually have run this ride. \nSaturday morning the group will leave tents set up at Cliffside\, ride 20 miles into Milwaukee to enjoy some food and libations\, and ride the 20 or so miles back to Cliffside to camp a second night. \nOn Sunday\, the group will get up\, and the group will ride back to Chicago with options for folks to hop the train 35 miles into the ride in Waukegan. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”teammateRow”][vc_column width=”1/4″ el_class=”teammateImage”][vc_single_image image=”70309″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”” image_hovers=”false”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″ el_class=”teammateDescription”][vc_row_inner el_class=”TeammateContent”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=””]Details time! \nThe nice folks at Advance Power in Redding (the solar joint) will be letting us park there for the weekend\, and it’s right across the street from our awesome friends @reddingadventurehub\, who will be hosting us at 9:30 am for any of your last-minute bike needs. We’ll have a quick riders meeting at 10 am sharp\, roll out promptly\, then leave the capitalist constraints of “time” behind for the weekend. \nThis is self-supported overnight bikecamping on about 75% dirt/25% paved\, riding up to Whiskytown Lake (for a swim if it’s hot enough) and then camping on a gorgeous creek. Total for the weekend is 55 mi. +5460ft. \nDay two will be over a lot of flowy\, narrow singletrack\, so we recommend the fattest tires you can jam in your gravel bike. \nBring your own food\, sleep system\, water filter\, and a way to bury your own poop (trowel). As always\, this is a casual\, open-invite trip. No sag\, and no registration or money required\, but we’ll do our best to make sure nobody is left behind or stranded. We all wear helmets and ask that you do as well. \nThese rides are at a conversational pace\, and we stick together. If you want to KOM your Strava or impress people by being first up the climb\, don’t bother coming\, as the best of the party is at the back of the pack. \nLink to the route below.
