SUMMARY:Huracan Bikepacking Challenge with Karlos Bernart (SingleTrack Samurai) in Florida
DESCRIPTION:The Huracan Bikepacking Challenge is the ULTIMATE OFF-ROAD ENDURANCE EXPERIENCE in the state of Florida. The Original route features over 100 miles of singletrack\, many remote miles of double-track forest roads and abandoned paths\, and a few miles of pavement here and there. During the route\, riders cross numerous forests\, The Cross Florida Greenway\, two mountain bike parks\, and miles of some of Florida’s longest and hardest climbs. That’s right; we said long and hard. \nRiders are on a self-contained and self-supported expedition on this magnificent mostly off-road route. \nThere are 3 route options available. \nOriginal HuRaCaN Route\,370 miles of the most challenging Florida terrain. Expect everything you have ever heard about the Huracan from all your friends\, with a few more surprises thrown in. This is the route everyone talks about. \nThe HuRaCaN Lite is a 330-mile route with almost no singletrack or river crossings. It will combine Dirt roads\, A-Roads\, B-Roads\, Bikepath\, and major roads. This is essentially a Skinnier tire friendlier version of the route. The minimum recommended tire width is 45MM. \nThe HuRaCaN 400\, is the hardest and most challenging conceptualization of the route that has ever been put together. This route premiered in 2024 it is also known as the What The F*** Route. \nWhat you are purchasing is the information to ride the route. This information is licensed per individual and cannot be transferred to another rider or refunded. Participating in self-supported off-road the grand depart is a benefit provided as a courtesy by the adventure coordinator and all folks who purchase the route information will get an invite. \nThis event is bounded by the rules of self-supported off-road endurance events with a few exceptions\, details will be provided closer to the grand depart. \nOnce you join the event\, riders can expect to start seeing the preliminary information delivered to their inbox on or before August 1st\, 2024. Information will be shared via an RWGPS event link for the route and Google Drive folder access for the guide and other important documents. DESCRIPTION:When: February 8th-9th\nWhere to meet: 12 PM takeoff from Ebb and Flow Parking Lot\nDistance: 55 miles\, 1\,100 ft of climbing\n\nVibes:Expect about 25 miles each way\, with more elevation than the Horseshoe Lake trip. This is a self-supported bikepacking adventure\, so be ready for a fun challenge!
