The route is a magnificent tour of Northern Arizona\, utilizing a mixture of singletrack\, double track\, and dirt roads. The start and finish are at Flagstaff Bicycle Revolution\, sandwiched between Pizzicletta and Mother Road Brewery. The course changes each year. Riders can choose between two categories: solo or duo (2-person team). \n\n\n\n\n\nImportant! This is an unsanctioned event. There are no fees\, no prizes\, but all attempts will be made to record your finish time. A start time and route are provided\, and it is up to the participant to understand the route. Riders have full responsibility for their navigation and well-being. The goal is to finish the entire route while setting your own pace. \n\nThis event is part of Bikepacking Root’s Community Event Calendar\, where we share bikepacking events across the US and Canada. Riders’ progress will be tracked online via Follow My Challenge. \nThe TransVA Grand Depart (mass start) of individual time trials (ITTs) of the TransVirginia route will be held the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend at 06:00 from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington\, DC. \nRiders are encouraged to tour or race the route at their preference and self-determined challenge level. \nThe route is unmarked and remote\, with areas of no mobile phone service. Self-navigation is a critical skill for all riders.
