Women’s Beginner Backpacking Trip with the Flagstaff Lady Shredders in Arizona
June 1 @ 9:00 am - June 2 @ 5:00 pm
FreeIt’s back! @abide2cycling and @abohnaz89 will be leading a women’s beginner bikepacking trip on June 1st and 2nd.
The route will be the same as last year, pending a pre-ride to ensure it’s good to go. Meet the ride leaders @flagbikerev at 0900 on June 1st. From here the group will roll out together towards Fort Tuthill.
What to expect:
Be able to ride about 35 miles per day for a total of 70 miles. (You can do it!) This is entirely self supported. Bring all of your own food, snacks, gear, water, electrolytes, camping supplies etc.
This is no drop! Organizers ride at the pace of the group and stop at all major turns. They will also stop to laugh, eat snacks, admire wildlife, and fix any mechanicals.
The route: A little road, lots of gravel, and some chunky bits of forest road. The group will camp near a lake, if this spot is unavailable, the group will roll down the road until they can find a place.
Day two we pass a gas station then take gravel to HWY 180 and back to @flagbikerev.
Follow the rules of the road, be kind to others, be rad, and as always leave no trace. The organizers are looking forward to riding with you!
