Rides with Friends #4, Fox Mt. Loop with Kurstin Gerard Graham in Nevada

Our mid-July Ride climbs to Fox Mt, 8182′, in the Granite Range. Then we will descend to Dolly Varden Basin, and camp at Dolly Varden Spring. Fox Mt has a great road to the summit to service its electronics, radio, wildfire camera, and weather. Clearly this is a special summit. This is a great intro to the western limit of Black Rock Country. We will cover 40 miles split between two days. Killer views from the summit. Huge dark skies above DV Basin. High desert in the summer! 3,300′ climbing day 1, 1,400′ climbing day 2. Think of all the descending!
