To celebrate this route becoming a Bikepacking Roots Community Route, you’re invited on this adventure ride! Everyone is welcome, although advanced self-supported a navigation skills are required.
The challenge is to complete the ride in 5 days. No one is expected to ride at a specific pace. If you find yourself in the company of others, enjoy it. If you find yourself in the solitude of this wild place, EMBRACE IT. We’ll see you at the finish!
Some of you may want to finish sooner. If so, start earlier, with the plan to finish on June 9th.
Stick around, camp the final night and welcome other riders as they roll into the finish at Kings Bowl.

The Great Rift Dirt Tour is 283 miles with about 10k feet of climbing, 87% unpaved with 150+ miles of rugged doubletrack & rough backcountry roads. This isn’t a route for gravel bikes. Bring your wide tires!
