Neederland Solstice Overnighter Front Range Overnighter Club in Colorado
June 22 - June 23
FreeThe group will take a circuitous route that uses many classic roads, primarily dirt. Eventually the route will transition to high clearance/rougher roads including a bit of Switzerland Trail, and then the roads to camp at 10k feet. The descent back to town in the morning is easy. There is a plan for a stop for breakfast and then continue down to Boulder via Magnolia (assuming you came from Boulder). https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46860030
THIS RIDE IS FULLY SELF-SUPPORTED. There is a grocery store, and several restaurants/coffee shops in town at the start, and basically nothing after that. It’s your responsibility to come fully prepared; food, water, supplies, you get it. This ride is sub-alpine and very high up (camping options are between 9700–10000 feet), so please ensure you have proper equipment and clothing. The organizers recommend a bike that can handle rough terrain (no single track), 2.0” or above tires will feel good but totally doable with some fortitude on a wider tired gravel bike. Check the climbing, it’s about 3800 feet to camp at high elevation.
