Join Ottawa Bike and Trail for the Moonrise Bike Ride, a premier bikepacking, music, and food festival. Set along the picturesque Flint Hills Trail State Park, this event offers two exciting options: the Moonrise Campfire, a two-night adventure, and the Moonrise Main Event, a one-night experience.
Experience Kansas’ longest rail trail with overnight stops at Basecamp Flint Hills and Pomona Lake State Park. Enjoy gourmet meals catered by some of Kansas’ top chefs, with the Prime Rib dinner and cheesecake bar being the culinary highlight at the Main Event. The festival also features top-notch Bluegrass and Acoustic music performances, creating a perfect backdrop for your ride. The Main Event evening concludes with a mesmerizing moonlight ride around Pomona Lake State Park.
This beginner-friendly event is open to all, offering various options to suit different levels of bikepacking or overnight camping experience. While riders are encouraged to carry their own sleeping gear, gear transportation is available for those who need it.
