This is a self-supported bike camping trip, there is no sag or outside support on this ride for gear. Riders need to carry all their own camp supplies (food/water/shelter/tools).
📍This month’s route highlights some favorite rarely used forest roads in Angeles National Forest tucked away above LA on the traditional un-ceded lands of the Tongva and Fernandeño Tataviam.
🚵🏽♀️This out and back two day route is around 26 miles round trip with (+1800ft elevation gain day one, and +1600ft gain day two) and is 75% unpaved.
🚲 A gravel, all terrain, or mountain bike is needed for this trip.
🐺 The Wild Wolf Collective gives this route their Wolf (classic route) rating because of the daily elevation. There are sustained climbs both days with some small hike-a-bike sections.
🦎 This route gets the Wild Wolf Collective Lizard (dirt & gravel) rating. The unpaved surfaces range from hard-packed to loose gravel, and some chunkier rockier sections.
