Hellbender Bikepacking’s First Trip with Hellbender Bikepacking in West Virginia

This is a short one night introduction to bikepacking in West Virginia. All skill levels are welcome.

The route is mostly gravel with some technical gravel sections and a little bit of pavement. Riders will cover around 14 miles each of the two days and will be ‘wild-camping’ along on Canaan Loop Rd.

Here is a little bit about the collective: Named after the section of the Eastern Divide Trail that goes through West Virginia, this is a West Virginia area bikepacking interest group to discuss routes, trips, and gear. It will also seek to promote locally led trips for folks to learn the sport and grow in the community.
