Bikepacking Overnight with RAR.Philadelphia

Let’s try this again! Our April trip to Evansburg was rained out, so we rescheduled for July 29 – 30. Not everyone who was signed up was able to make the rain date, so we have a handful of spots available. The link to the sign up is in our bio – please sign up by Friday, 7/14! We will randomly select people after prioritizing BIPOC riders. Hopefully the weather treats us a lil better this time around!

Date: Saturday, July 29 – Sunday, July 30

Start Location: Meet in the Cadence Cycling – Manayunk Parking lot

Start and end time: Meet 9am, rollout 9:15am, arrive in Evansburg in late afternoon

Route: RideWithGPS link in Instagram bio (*please note that the route may be subject to change slightly!*)

Mileage: ~31 miles each way

Elevation: ~915 ft

Ride pace: ~10-12mph

Difficulty: Beginner friendly; no drop, but group may naturally split up periodically during the ride. If you are able to, please download the route on your phone and/or bike computer if you have one in case we get separated.

Bike Type: Any bike that can carry your bikepacking supplies and is able to ride on some loose gravel along the Schuykill River and Perkiomen trails. If you have any questions, DM us!

What to bring: See the link to the interest form in our bio for a list of what to bring.

Who: This is a ride for femme/trans/women/non-binary folks!

Snack stop: There will be a couple planned stops to rest and eat snacks along the way, but we won’t pass a ton of places to buy food or snacks, so please be sure to bring plenty with you!

*This is an outdoor event and masks are not required if you are fully vaccinated, although we encourage everyone to have a mask handy and respect the comfort level of others, especially in crowded areas.
