Bikepacking Clinic with Buckhorn Bags in Fayetteville, Arkansas
August 30, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeMark your calendars for a free Bikepacking Clinic at Buckhorn Bags on Wednesday, August 30th at 7PM!
This night will feature locals Jacob Loos and Sam Lutz!
Jacob Loos is a bikepack racer and adventurer mostly focused on long distance, multi day off-road racing and riding. He first discovered bikepacking in high school but did not give it a try until June of 2018. He has since done many self supported races and adventures in a wide range of conditions and climates including Tour Divide, Arkansas High Country Race, Ozark Gravel Doom, and North to South Colorado. While he loves to race, adventure is his biggest motivator which has led to expeditions across New Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois.
Sam Lutz is a party-pace, just ride bikes with your friends kind of bikepacker. After moving to the desert of New Mexico his eyes were opened to the possibilities that await just outside the front door. If you’re only willing to strap a bunch of junk to your bike and figure it out along the way, there are amazing places to see, and, better yet – with friends! Most of his trips look like S240’s and long weekends. Shorter excursions allow more folks to come along and enjoy the ride, and that’s the best part! After over a decade as a carpenter Buckhorn materialized unexpectedly after some prodding from friends in the industry. Sam is stoked to be here in NWA for the long haul and to get to be a part of a great community of cyclists!
The night will be centered around “How To Pack” whether it be for a local overnighter or something as big as the Tour Divide!
We’ll give out raffle tickets to anyone that shows up 🎟️
As well as a discount on bags with a donation to @ozarkgravelcyclists
